What's Happening at PATH

PATH Services provides the support that homeless individuals and families need in order to successfully transition from living on the street to thriving in homes of their own. High-quality supportive services are critical to ensuring that the people we serve are able to not only move into permanent homes, but stay in permanent homes long-term. The services we provide are available to anyone who is homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

Women's Empowerment Day at PATH

On May 3rd, PATH hosted its quarterly Women's Empowerment Day. More than 20 homeless women gathered together to discuss stress management, the job/housing search, and self-esteem.

Jamie Hill, who moved off the streets and into her own apartment in the La Kretz Villas in December, spoke to the women about her personal experience.

"Going out there, it feels like you're facing the world by yourself," she said. "But PATH helped me make a plan... and with a plan, you can really do something."

All attendees received free cosmetics and personal care products at the end of the event, and were encouraged to continue attending weekly groups at PATH that focus on the issues they had discussed.

"I came from poverty. All my mother had was poverty. All my father had was poverty," said Zondre, a PATH resident. "Now I'm working to change my life. This has been a blessing."
